RSS Feeds

Interlingua provides an RSS feed of vacancies: http://esl.interlingua.co.uk/rss/rss.xml

Our RSS feed is free to use as you wish. If you're not sure how to include an RSS feed into your Website, see http://lastrss.oslab.net for an excellent PHP script with instructions.

Advanced RSS Feeds If you would like to specify the type of jobs shown in your RSS feed, you can use a number of filter criteria in the URL:

  1. Country: To show jobs from a specific country, include the query c=[country code] at the end of the RSS URL. The [country code] part is the two-letter ISO code for the country, e.g. to show only jobs from Russia, the URL would look like: http://esl.interlingua.co.uk/rss/rss.xml?c=RU
  2. City: To show jobs from a specific city, enter the city code (use the code finder) after m=[city code] as in the following example: http://esl.interlingua.co.uk/rss/rss.xml?m=174 (there is no need to specify a country if you are using the 'city' parameter).
  3. Language: To show jobs for teaching a language other than English, include the name of the language in the format l=[language]. To show only jobs for teaching French, the URL would look like: http://esl.interlingua.co.uk/rss/rss.xml?l=French
  4. To show only contract jobs, include f=0 in the URL query string.
  5. To show only freelance jobs, include f=1 in the URL query string.
  6. To show jobs requiring no qualifications, add q=0 to the query string.
  7. To show jobs according to minimum experience level, add x=[experience] to the query string, where [experience] can be: 0 (none required) or 1 to 5 (the number corresponds to the minimum years of experience required by the employer).
  8. To show jobs that do not require a native speaker, use t=0. For jobs that do require a native speaker, use t=1
  9. For jobs that do not require the teacher to be in the country already, use p=0 (use p=1 for jobs that do require the applicant to be in the country).
  10. Number of results: To specify the maximum number of jobs in the feed, use n=[number of results]. The default number is 20.

Note: Depending on the job vacancies currently in the database, there may be no results matching the exact query iun your URL. In this case, the RSS feed will simply contain a message about the site.
